Shirley Plantation is Open for Grounds Admission

Shirley is open for self-guided tours of the Grounds, Gardens, and Outbuildings Tuesdays – Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM with the exit gate closing at 5:00 PM. Closed Sundays and Mondays.

Admission is required. The self-guided tour of the grounds includes exhibits in the Ice House and Storehouse, the slavery exhibit located in the Kitchen building, our Nature Walk Field Guide and Grounds Map to explore the grounds, learn about the outbuildings, local habitat, wildlife, and the farm crops, and the free audio tour downloadable on a smartphone which expands upon the exhibits with details on slavery, farming, and more.

Shirley’s Gift Shop is open on Wednesdays – Saturdays from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Modified guided tours of the home’s first floor are available on Wednesdays – Saturdays at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
